SPECIFICATIONS:

This
includes a central great room
with cozy sitting nooks, all with
ocean views. The dining area is
the heart of the great room. An
octagonal cupola extends the
master suite, and provides a
second floor view of the beach,
as well as great study. In
addition, there is a seaside
dining porch, a "morning balcony"
off the master bedroom, and a
fun, rustic "bunkhouse" only 20
feet from the cottage.
Sleeps
6 to 8
The
master bedroom (upstairs) has a
queen bed. The second bedroom
(first floor) has a double bed.
The octagonal observation cupola
has a double futon. The cupola is
open to the master bedroom, so it
creates an additional sleeping
area, but without full privacy.
Finally, directly outside the
cottage is the 14x20 bunkhouse
with twin beds and a cheery
woodstove. It offers a view of
the beach and great privacy, but
no bath. It is where the kids
always want to sleep.
Two
full bathrooms
There
is a full bath (with tub and
shower) on the first floor. The
second full bath (with large
tiled stall shower) is part of
the master
bedroom
suite
on the second floor.
Modern
facilities
The
kitchen is well equipped with
lots of work space -- and
includes a microwave. There is no
dishwasher or disposal. The
washer and dryer on the first
floor make laundry easy.
Efficient space heaters on both
floors allow you to control the
temperature inside.
Broadband
internet, cable television and
DVD player
A
25" Sony TV with cable and a DVD
player is available in the master
bedroom. Broadband internet
access is available, also from
the master bedroom.
Ocean
view
All
south-facing windows and doors
open to views of Drift Inn Beach
and the open Atlantic. NOTE:
Because the sandy beach is a
popular local destination (for
good reason), during the swimming
season cars often will park along
Drift Inn Road, which abuts the
seaside boundary of the property
and is otherwise rarely
traveled.
Towels
and
linens
Two
sets of towels are provided for
each guest. Beds are made with
fresh linens each week, ready for
your first night by the sea.
Welcome
basket
Your
visit begins with a basket of
soaps and lotions greeting you in
the middle of the large dining
table with its ocean view through
the seaside door.
Restrictions
No
smoking is permitted on the
property. No pets are permitted.
Local telephone service is
provided, and you can receive
incoming long distance calls, but
no outgoing long distance calls
are possible from the
cottage.
Check
in - check
out
Check
in time is 4 PM on the Saturday
that begins your week. Check out
time is 10 AM the following
Saturday. Our cleaning crew needs
the full time between check-in
and check-out to prepare
everything for the next guest.
